is a Horizon Elliptical machine in your future? This is just one of the many popular elliptical machines out there,
and it can be very difficult to determine which you should get. Here is an unbiased review of Horizon.
First things first: the majority of Horizon Elliptical Machines are not built for the long haul or for more
rigorous workouts. Sure, going at a leisurely pace once a week or so will probably be okay, but if you plan on working out
intensely day after day, forget about it.
Even if you are shorter this will still hinder you, should you plan on running on it. In other words, it won't
allow you to do anything beyond a light walking workout. You can forget about jogging or running with this.
The company does sell a lot of different Horizon Elliptical Machines, and if you do plan on buying one, I would
strongly suggest not buying the cheaper models. Instead, focus on the more expensive models, since these are the best
quality.
If you do buy one, shell out the extra money and get the longer warranty. Remember, these are not the most reliable
machines around, and there is a strong chance you will have to make a replacement at some point, so the warranty could save you
some serious money.
The reason you want to do this is, this particular machine has just a twelve month warranty, certainly not very
much when compared with others. It is cheap, however, so you still might come out on top in certain instances.
Of course, with cheap prices often times comes shoddy craftsmanship, and unfortunately this is the case with
Horizon Elliptical Machines.
A common occurrence with this particular machine is brake problems, and you will probably find yourself getting
them fixed regularly. Also, the upper body arms are not easy for less tall people to use.
Overall, Horizon Machines aren't as good as more expensive models in terms of quality, and things will break down
on it quite often, depending on how you use it. This doesn't necessarily mean its' not for you, because if you are plan on doing
lighter workouts it might still meet your needs.
So what's the verdict? I guess if you don't have a ton of money to spend on one, than these models are ones to
consider; however, if you are looking for better quality and the ability to do more intense and regular workouts, definitely look
elsewhere.
Either way, make sure you try one out before buying, and don't ever ever buy a Horizon Elliptical Machine without
first testing it out yourself.
